Because you are paying for a decision, not for a meeting. Which department goes first, what data stays off limits, who signs off: nobody inside the company can settle that without an argument, and an outside voice with a plan ends the argument in one morning. Half a day of your leadership team already costs you more than the session does. If the plan we leave behind is not worth more than the price, the session failed, and we would rather be judged on that.
The comparison is not the invoice against zero. It is the invoice against what the work costs you now, every week it stays as it is. We make that comparison specific before anything is signed.
The answer is written down before anything is signed, either way. We do not have a position on your headcount. We have a position on you being able to explain the decision.
You get a written answer before signing. Where the data goes, who can see it, what happens if a provider changes its policy. We hand it over so you can check it rather than asserting it.
Every recommendation comes with the plain reason behind it, so you can repeat it to whoever signs off and have it still hold a year from now. If we cannot give you that explanation, the work is not finished.
Most stalled projects were sized for a bigger company, or handed over before anyone on staff could run them alone. We scope to what your team can operate without us.
Only if you want to. Things change over time. An update lands, a connection needs adjusting, and something that ran cleanly last month wants a look. Upkeep means we catch it and fix it, usually before you notice. You can stop it whenever you like, and the system is still yours.
